What video format does mogg support?

Who can watch videos on mogg?

Any visitor can watch videos on mogg by simply clicking on the WATCH link (when available) to stream the video or the DOWNLOAD link (when available) to save the video directly on the phone to play it back locally.

What do I need to watch videos on my mobile phone?

Because videos are usually large files, you are required to have a fast mobile internet access (2.5G/3G) and a memory card. If the WATCH link doesn't work, click on the DOWNLOAD link to download the video file and play it back from your phone memory. Note: Some operators may charge your for data transfer. We suggest you to sign up for an unlimited data plan. check with you operator.

How do I upload my video to mogg?

To upload from your cell phone, email your video file as an attachement to upload@mogg.mobi. You will receive an email or sms back with the URL to the video for immediate forward to your friends. For more instructions about video upload.

What can I do if I register?

As a registered user, you can do many things on mogg. First, you have more control over your account. Because you are registered user, mogg recognize the videos your uploads as yours and can alert you by SMS as soon as one of your videos has bee posted. Second, you can edit any video information including the video title, the video description and the categories it belongs too. You may personalize the thumbnail with your own screengrab or image (have you seen that all the movie trailers have posters as thumbnails and not a screen grab?). Finally, you may create your own mobile video channel. Your created channel will be automatically added under video.mogg.mobi/channels. All your uploaded videos will be automatically listed under your own mobile channel.

In a nutshell, mogg supports any phone that records videos and accesses the internet. Most of the videos available on Mogg are available for download or for streaming (watch). Depending on your wireless operator and your handet, both or one or the other works. Do you monitor what videos get published?

Yes! We watch most of the videos that get published on Mogg and take down any ones that do not meet our legal standards including misuse of copyrighted content and videos not appropriate for all ages. As a mogg user, registered or not, you can at any time flag any video if you believe it is inappropriate.
